Design Philosophy

The number of variables inherent in the game of golf and in the dimensions or character of various golf courses is unlimited. This is what makes the game of golf so intriguing. There is no set formula for the design of a golf course. The length of holes, the dimension and character of greens, tees, fairways and bunkers are only defined by what is imagined by the designer. We approach each new project with a completely open mind in order to create something that is unique to a particular site and client. However, we do believe there are certain qualities the set the great golf courses of the world apart from most others. All great golf courses have distinctive features, intriguing character, a definitive atmosphere, tremendous variety and they encourage creative or thoughtful play from golfers of all abilities. This is what we strive to achieve with every course we design.
